b'We monitor proposed legislation and we utilize our lobbyist to oppose it when necessary to protect our members interests. When proposed legislation will impact general management or operational concerns, we actively collaborate with the National Club Association, the Club Management Association of America, and other allied associations and organizations.Most recently, CSCA united our clubs to fight and defeat Prop 15 alongside a statewide, bipartisan, sociodemographically diverse group of businesses of all sizes, chambers, and citizens. Prop 15 threatened property tax increases to nearly all private clubs of at least three to seven times current rates. Hence, the defeat of Prop 15 protected the very existence of many private clubs. Furthermore, it prevented pass-through costs that would have been incurred for all California consumers, including significant dues increases at all private clubs.How We HelpPAGE 7'
